BASIS
The customer wants to set up a NaturActiv Center production facility for the production of compost at a location near Varaždin. We need a production hall 100x30m with a warehouse, service rooms and a laboratory. Next to it are two auxiliary buildings and buried water cisterns.
The considered plots are located on an empty, mostly flat location surrounded by fields.

CONCEPT
Identity – Humus, Ears, Sustainability
We admire the location full of grain fields. Our architecture mimics the natural beauty of the grain with its stalks and ear structure.
The wooden construction of the V-pillars mimics the stalks of cereals rising from the fields and blending into the environment. The roof with solar panels not only provides energy but also creates a visual effect that reflects the structure of the ears of corn. The red panel supports - like poppy flowers in the wheat fields - connect the roof elements with the environment and it seems as if they grow together.
Modularity – Floor plan flexibility
The design of the facility is based on a modular design that can be adapted to different environments and needs. With it, we provide a sustainable solution for the natural production of compost.
The "Grain on Grain" design principle is not only an architectural element in the construction structure but also represents the basic principle of our operation. Like grains that intertwine and grow, our architecture establishes a connection between nature and human creation. Each grain represents a part of our sustainable vision, reflected in every detail of the building. At the same time, it also symbolizes the growth and development of the Center, which, like a grain in a field, is directly involved in the environment where it operates. That is why the name "Zrno na Zrno" is more than just the name of an architectural project - it expresses our commitment to sustainable development, a symbol of growth and a symphony of harmony between man and nature.
