Basis
The primary task is to create a town square. This includes both paving, dealing with different levels and the selection of street furniture. Market cannot be planned outside the context of the entire city. The nature of the square defines open space. Open space is defined by structures. Market is defined by the content, its program, green spaces and the infrastructure. The town powers the square and the square revives the town.
Concept design
Town square:
The current square is emptied. The trees are removed. The square ends on the edge of the river Pešnica in a raised staircase, which is connected with double footbridge over the river. The staircase is stretched in a wide platform and thus assumes the function of a stage for the performers at a time of events. Urban equipment emerges in the square that ''grows'' from the floor.
Pedestrian:
The Double Bridge allows the passage across the river, as well as continued walking, while its shape surrounds the green square underneath.
Green square:
It is proposed that the green zone of the river banks are pulled into the interior of the town square and gives an "overflow area" in the form of a green town square. The Cultural Centre is fastened between the two squares. The urban and the green.
