CONTEXT
The EMBRACE project originates from the transformation of an existing agricultural building into a semi-detached house for living, rental use and potential future sale. Set in a rural context at the edge of a forest, the design is based on a respectful upgrade of the existing structure and its reinterpretation as an open, welcoming living environment.

DESIGN
The proposal preserves the original volume, position and spatial memory to the greatest extent possible. Along the longitudinal sides, two triangular extensions are introduced, forming service spaces, balconies and covered terraces that extend the living areas and create spaces for gathering. Two clearly separated units, each with its own entrance and parking, ensure functional independence, while the orientation of openings towards the east and west maintains privacy.
The triangular additions act as a protective frame that embraces the existing building, giving it a new identity and enabling its transformation into a contemporary home. EMBRACE is not only a formal gesture, but a spatial experience of living—one that, through warmth and clarity, reinterprets rural life.

EMBRACE — architecture that embraces living.
