Basis
The idea behind The Centre of Climbing Sports derives from the user experience. The building is a wholesome climbing adventure. The architecture is a new generator of the broad city area.

Concept
The concave shape molds a fitting ending to the two streets and a corner, which is the focal point for the programme. The architecture is made to interact with bypassers, it is namely the gravitational point of the larger surrounding area. The building disconnects traffic from nature on one end and creates outdoor public programme, which connects to the existing park on the other end. This public programme that enables events and sports activities, binds itself onto the paths that derive from the gymnastics centre.
The segmented architecture represents the mountain range with cuts, which split the volume into several »hills«. The glass prism cuts function as entries into the building, while also letting in natural light.
The facade is both decorative and allows climbing. The design respectfully quotes Plečnik´s NUK.
The main idea behind the interior is creating two canyons, which associate with climbing in the natural ambience.
