CONTEXT
The new Celje Passenger Center is conceived as a contemporary urban gateway at the intersection of the railway and bus stations, where a central square connects mobility with the historic city core. The space between the stations is transformed into a unified public park landscape that integrates infrastructure, pedestrians, and greenery.

CONCEPT
The architecture is driven by the dynamics of movement - a rounded monolithic volume with a lightweight textile façade evokes the sensation of breaking through space. A rooftop solar park functions as a fifth façade and contributes to the building’s energy self-sufficiency. The structural system ensures long-term programmatic flexibility, while the reinstallation of Šubič pavilion establishes a dialogue between historical layers and contemporary urban identity. BREAKTHRU is therefore not merely a transport hub, but a sustainable and adaptable urban space for the future.
